You can change your password, username and email address by editing your profile. You can also change video streaming (Video Sandbox) and Facebook album settings. Don't forget to Update your profile, as this saves the any change you made.

Peoplecan visit your profile page and ask permission to create an email connection

 

MY PERMISSIONMY PERMISSIONS

Your Skillsbook My Permissions tab allows you to control what information is kept private, shared with groups or published to the World Wide Web. BY DEFAULT ALL INFORMATION IS PUBLISHED TO THE WEB.

Anyone can set up groups and invite people to join.  You can set events, create bulletins or send group emails.   If you have created a group there are some extra tabs you get access to.

 

GROUP MEMBERS- If you have started a group, members are listed here.

MANAGE TASKS -   Activate new members, transfer group ownership, invite new members.

GROUP BULLETINS -  View the bulletins created by your group

GROUP FORUM POSTS - View posts created by group members. 

MY GROUPS - A list of group which you beling to.

 

Here you can develop your e-portfolio to complete class assignments, apply for skills recognition to support a job application.  Your e-portfolio lets you store documents, MP3s, photos and RSS feeds.  You can keep your e-portfolio private, share it with groups or publish it to the web. 

1) Click on Edit->Edit Profile:

2) Select the YouTube tab, and enter:

• The username of the YouTube user whose uploaded clips are to be shown
• The username of the YouTube user whose Favorites list of videos are to be shown
• Or both of the above

Do remember to click Enable, otherwise, despite entering the username, the videos will not be shown.

 

 

3) To only allow other users in the connection list to view the videos, select Yes to Restrict views to only those people in my

Connections list.

4) Click Update.

5) After this, the videos will be displayed in your Skillsbook

 

Match your skills to qualifications and careers.  

Create a competency based resume, email this to employers or download your resume in MicroSoft Word.

EVENTS

Here you can set events, reminders or up load documents to your calendar. (Feature available June 2008).
